Claire Gebhardt was one of SA’s top financial journalists. In 1985 she joined SA’s leading daily newspaper “The Star” and quickly rose through the ranks to become Economic Editor of The Star followed by Executive Editor of Business Report, Executive Editor of The Sunday Star and in 1997 changed publications to become Assistant Editor of one of SA’s leading weekly business publications, Finance Week. She won numerous awards including Sanlam Financial journalist of the Year for Finance, Economics and Best Entrant in 1997 when she was Assistant Editor of Finance Week. She is also well remembered for her business “slots” on Radio 702. In 1998 she joined The banking Association of SA as a General Manager and spent the next eight years immersed in banking. Claire has a B.Com.Hons (Economics from the University of South Africa (UNISA) Paul Gebhardt worked for Summercon Holdco (Pty) Ltd, one of leading property developers in the country for six years starting in 2001. Paul was initially employed as a Development, Marketing and Sales consultant. Within a period of a year he was promoted to the position of Deputy Sales Manager, followed by a promotion to Deputy Development, Marketing and Sales Manager which position he held until 2004. In recognition of exponential growth in Development and Marketing and after four years of playing a major role in leading one of the most successful Property Sales Divisions, where all previous records held in Summercon’s twenty-one years of existence were shattered, he left Sales to concentrate on Development and Marketing and held the title of Development and Marketing Manager until his resignation in August 2007. Paul has built up an extensive knowledge of the property Development Industry with particular insight into the financing, design and development and management of Sectional Title and Freehold Schemes.
